The 17th Mayor of Bath’s Art Show, was open to the public on Friday and Saturday 28th and 29th October from 10.00 am to 4.00 pm. This year’s show was opened by The Mayor of Bath, Councillor Bob Appleyard and approximately 250 people visited the show. Thirsty Seven artists exhibited 129 pictures of all sizes and mediums, and a total of 24 pictures were sold with a total value of £2202. The event raises money for both the Mayor of Bath’s Relief Fund and for a variety of Rotary charities.

All those attending were invited to vote for their favourite picture, and the picture with the most votes, winning the silver Turner Cup and a special prise of tea for 4 in the Mayor’s parlour with the Mayor. The winner was a portrait of Montgomery Allen, by Joshua Donkor.  Joshua first exhibited with us in 2019 as a young art student, when he also won favourite picture. His pictures now sell internationally and he will shortly take up a residency at the Bankside Hotel London, supported by Degreeart. At the end of the residency on the 27th January, he will have a solo exhibition.
