The Mayor of Bath (Councillor Michelle O’Doherty) is searching for her Citizen of the Year. They must either live in Bath, work here, or belong to a group based in the City.
The Mayor said,
“During my year as Mayor, I have been privileged to meet so many people and members of the wonderful organisations who do so much to support the community. There are many unsung heroes in our city – people who quietly make a real difference to the lives of others. This award is a chance to thank them and bring their inspiring stories into the spotlight.”
If you know anyone who deserves an award for their long-term voluntary work or a specific extremely noteworthy act by an individual (but not for monetary donations), within the City of Bath boundary, please nominate them. They should not have already received a national level honour for this, it is for voluntary service and not paid employment.
Nomination forms are available from the Mayor’s Office at the Guildhall, or by emailing mayorofbath@bathnes.gov.uk and must be returned by 12 noon on Friday 9 May 2025.
